Yes!  iOS has the same problem. The text is way to small compared to the amount of unused space available. Even the browser based player could use the same feature. Not as high a priority compared to the mobile application perhaps.  They all suffer with a lot of unused space that could could be used to make the user experience more pleasant.  The app should definitely use my text size and other text settings I make in my phone preferences.
