Same with me.  I've been with Pandora for so many years I lost track.  Something has definitely changed.  I go out of coverage constantly riding bikes etc and Pandora will tell me I'm offline and can't connect and the only option is to cancel or try again.  Obviously it isnt going to work if I "try again" because I still don't have service.  Devs need to actually leave the cubicle and go test this out for themselves.   ...
