personally, I've been writing songs for a couple years now and one thing I've learned is its very hard to just sit down and write a song. random lyrics, melodies, and sometimes even a whole verse will come to you unexpectedly. so be ready to write those down anytime, anywhere. another thing is your gonna write great songs, but your also gonna write sucky ones too. when you do write sucky songs, that does not mean your a bad songwriter or anything, its just that we all cant be perfect all the time, therefore your gonna have sucky songs. If you do start songwriting and publishing, please remember that some song are personal and emotional, so don't feel any pressure to release everything you write. its ok to write a song and keep it for yourself. that's the whole reason you should even be writing, for yourself.  ...
