Go to Task Manager, Startup, and change Pandora to "Disable". That should do the trick.

Any movement on this? Oooooooooo, and it makes me wonder. I think this is a very important "upgrade" that needs to happen to be competitive in this new world of lossless music streaming that is now being offered by Amazon and Tidal. At the very least, for now, Pandora needs to be competitive at a minimum of 320kps(ish) and not their 192kps, especially for Premium subscribers, like I am. When I'm listening with Pandora, I don't feel like I getting the best audio of what's out there for what I'm paying for. I also have a Tidal account, and there I know I'm getting the best audio for what I'm paying for. Pandora, don't underestimate the "warm and fuzzies" people get when listening, whatever the reason. Win the audiophile, and the rest will fall in line.

I'm gonna say this, and then this . . . I think having a button to turn off is the wrong direction. How about not having the app start playing when opened at all!!!! No choice, just have the playing not happen, like every other player on the planet . . . just sayin' . . . Unique to Pandora, yes. Uniquely frustrating, yes. I get the whole “when you turn on a radio, it immediately starts playing” argument. But a simple radio is not a tool of curation. Pandora is a tool of curation I tell you! I want control!!!!!!! . . . I’ll settle down now, thank you . . .

So, what I'm referring to is the Offline switch, and the suggested "turn off auto play" switch. I will start all of this with the "I'm not a programer, and I don't play one on TV" caveat. First, why not have anything downloaded to your phone just be another heading like "All Artists Albums Songs Stations Playlists Podcasts"? Just add "Downloaded"! THAT way those of us that don't download can ignore the heading (just like I do with Playlists, I do do 'em) and those that do are ready to go. That would also alleviate all that "bluetooh telling the app to be in Offline Mode" when I connect to various devices. No Offline Mode switch, no issue. Second, with the suggestion of "a switch to turn off Pandora from playing when opened" . . . how about just having Pandora not do that? AT ALL! No switch, just have all the apps open with it waiting to be told what to do. Simple, clean, and logical. Again, no switch, no issue. I don't think people would ask for the "auto play when opened" feature to come back if it went away altogether, IM(not so)HO. And if people ACTUALLY did want it to come back, THEN think about an On/Off switch. THX B

I know if you go to settings within the Multiroom app, you can sign out and then back into Pandora . . . maaaaaaaaaaaaybe that would help . . . . ?

So if I thumb down a horrid re-recorded version of song, it will not affect the original version . . . . ? Or will thumbing down the name of a song . . . I just want the original version of songs and never EVER the re-recorded versions. If I could perpetually thumb down the words "re-recorded version" I would . . . bleh! . . . I understand why they exist, but . . . bleh! . . . ..

Gapless audio is a feature I would like, since I mainly listen to albums, live albums, and concept albums where a break between tracks is jarring. Spotify has this feature, but I haven't used Spotify since receiving the patronizing "epic collection, friend" message . . . but I digress . . . On desktop, that there new Amazon Music is gapless, it buffers the song(s) being played. I tried a Peter Gabriel Station on AM, and the mix was . . . well . . . that station wanted to play Toto/Africa, and Bon Jovi . . . I almost vomited . . . but I digress . . . Thanks B
