I understand music changes, some may argue it "evolves", others may contest that its subjective....I can affirm it moves me.  What doesnt square with me is the misuse and oftentimes abuse of particular music, the labeling of it, and the commercialization of it.  JAZZ without the soul and spirit, IS NOT JAZZ.  The same can  be said about R and B, and Hip Hop and RAP.  Missing the element of soul and spirit it can only measure up to be a complimentary tribute to or cover.  Period! ...
