I also started having lots of Bluetooth issues, too. If I get in the car it will come on fine. I drive somewhere , turn the car off, come back a few minutes later and turn it on and the app shows playing but no volume. Phone volume is OK.  As I do, I am on IPhone XR with the latest IOS release.  I like this app, but the Bluetooth issue is annoying enough that I’ll have to switch. This is what happened: Or do you sort your collection by Songs, and tap on Shuffle all songs at the top of the screen, and after a certain amount of time, you are sent to AutoPlay?
