As mentioned on the accepted solution, music has a much wider dynamic range (the difference in volume between the softest and loudest parts) in comparison to ads. As a result, only the loudest parts of songs may sound as loud as commercials. These dynamic differences between music and ads can also vary based on the genre of music or when the track was recorded. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to change the volume of ads dependent upon the station on which they play. I also wanted to note that if you are worried about the audio quality not being good enough, both Pandora Plus and Pandora Premium stream at a higher quality, and come with a number of other benefits you might find attractive. And regarding the quantity of music, we’re always looking for new content to add to our library, so if you would like us to add a particular, song, album or artist to repertoire, please feel free to share any of your suggestions on our Music Suggestions 2025 thread. I did clear the cache, but have not un/reinstalled the app.  I will keep an eye on it and see if it happens again.  I don't think it has since I cleared the cache, but it is somewhat infrequent anyway, which makes it hard to remember for sure and pin down.
