I just had the identical thing happen. The song just stopped. I think it was the 2nd or 3rd song since I started Pandora on my Google Nest Audio Speaker pair. I thought it just stopped and didn't try any commands but after seeing your post about trying next song I tried a few other things (resume, what song is this.. and nothing happened at all).
