It seems wild that this bug has existed for years and no one has thought to fix it - it is very straightforward on the surface so the only thing one can think this impacts is the play numbers, so either: a) resuming mid song counts as a "play" and thus numbers are HIGHER than they should be, or b) resuming mid song does NOT count as a play and thus numbers are LOWER than they should be Given that Pandora has left this bug standing for years I'm going to assume the latter and that there's probably a class action someone should be filing for the missing royalties. ... Was this issue ever fixed? I have been having issues with this since coming back to pandora ~ 6 months ago. Basically every time I stop listening for a while (e.g. going to sleep) and come back it will pick up around where I left off but on a completely different song - seems like there's a timing issue where playback is (likely) cached but the frontend doesn't know a new song happened. ...
