I just discovered the root cause of the issue I'm having. It seems that the smartphone app as well as the web interface from a browser boyce have an expanded shuffle function that allows you to pick certain stations. The smart TV app that I mentioned does not appear to have this selection function present. There is only the shuffle station. Ergo, you have to use either the smartphone app or the web interface to select your stations. You want shuffled. Since I primarily use Pandora in our home, attached to our our high-end audio system, this is where I would like to be able to manipulate the stations that I have shuffled.
