I received the same long list of questions you did. I just described what happens to me. Is your experience similar?
I realize this is a very delayed response, but I didn’t have much information to give based on your questions. I recently upgraded my phone and still have the same issue. There is never an error message and I always am using my phone. Which before was a Galaxy S21 and now a Galaxy S24 Ultra. There's often no rhyme or reason as to nights it decides to stop. If I wake in the middle of the night and it's not playing, it shows the app closed altogether. Closed, but still running in the background. Which is a whole seperate discussion/concern of mine. I used to think it happened if I recieved any kind of notification. Such as an email or text, but I don't think thats the case anymore. I have no screenshot of any kind to show anything that would help figure out whats going on. I play the same soundtrack every night and put it on loop mode to continuously play the same Playlist. Whenever I wake up in the middle of the night and go into my phone, I have to reopen the app and it will have the last song it was playing for me to resume. Then I have to reset the loop mode as well. Playing this music became a part of my routine when I had a major loss that the grief prevented me from being able to fall asleep. It helps me not tap into my racing thoughts when having to turn off all distractions for bed. No one else seemed to have this issue until today. So, I'm responding for them hoping for a resolution. There are definitely much bigger issues in life than this, but we do pay for Pandora. So, for that reason it should function as expected by the consumers. This is a bug that should ultimately be fixed so that your product works seamlessly. I realize you can't fix a bug without knowing about it or understanding whats happening. You may not have many complaints regarding this issue, as I know not many people use music to aid in sleep. But I hope the problem can be re-adressed and resolved for those of us that do depend on it.
Now, going back to my comment of Pandora running in the background. This issue is not only at night when it stops, its always and I do not like apps running in the background. Not because of battery usage, necessarily. There is no reason a music app needs to be running in the background. I almost switched subscriptions because of the first issue mentioned and because of it running in the background. I honestly don't trust apps that do that without permission or purpose. So, I manually stop it everyday and sometimes I notice it will start running in the background again on its own. Its a bit concerning that it can't seem to consistently play through the night and closes, but it can run in the background whenever it wants? Please fix these issues. Thank you.
