I'm glad to finally find "Full song credits" on Pandora. However, as a fan of jazz, in particular, I would like to see the credits listed as on the albums, and not as Pandora classifies them in their database. For instance, Roy Haynes album, "Out of the Afternoon" lists these credits -
Main Artist: Roy Haynes Quartet Producer: Bob Thiele Associated Performer: Roland Kirk Tenor Saxophone: Roland Kirk Other: Roland Kirk Flute: Roland Kirk Piano: Tommy Flanagan Associated Performer: Tommy Flanagan Associated Performer: Henry Grimes Upright Bass: Henry Grimes Composer: Roy Haynes
Why list people multiple times?
I'm left to *deduce* that Roy Haynes must be the drummer, b/c that's not credited.
And what "other" thing did Roland Kirk do?
Instead, particularly on jazz combo tracks, when I look for credits, I want to see the following:
-song name
-composer
-name: instrument(s)
-name: instrument(s)
-name: instrument(s)
-etc. for each of the players on the track
-date recorded
-producer
Then, maybe, how things are labeled in your database.
-main artist
-associated artists/performers
This wouldn't work, obviously, for all genres. And it's totally a music-nerd thing, but Pandora should already know this sh*t. And, btw, no one goes searching a database/website for the term, "other."
Do they?
