Sometimes the most memorable tracks begin in the most unexpected places. When inspiration hits, your studio can be anywhere. What’s the most surprising place you’ve worked on music?
In a van! But I ended up feeling car sick lol
In a cabin in the mountains is what comes to mind...but it really could be anywhere. I have a very simple app on my phone with a keyboard that allows me to sketch out rudimentary song concepts and save them, because as we all know those can pop out of your head as fast as they appear. It's fun to rediscover these ideas later, many of which I've completely forgotten about, and some of them become my "gold nuggets" as composer Aaron Copland called them, to build a song around.
I know what you mean, @NowPlaying_JDM! It is vital for me to document an idea ASAP because I'll definitely forget it. It's fun to have a jumping off point when you're ready to start writing too!
I completely agree with you @NowPlaying_JDM!
If I have an idea, I try to document it ASAP in the notes app on my phone, because I forget things very easily. 😬
In a tree. Climbing trees with my brother, sitting high up on a limb we'd burn one and always end up putting together a tune.
Hi @Mp239 That moment sounds very relaxing.
Nature and a good company can be perfect for finding inspiration 🍂
Hi @Mp239,
Wow, that sounds incredible and relaxing! And being able to share that moment with your brother, composing a song together, must be a really wonderful feeling.
