Chloelle
Underground

So my music that I put out on distrokid a couple of weeks ago is on every other platform that you can name but for some reason my artist name or none of my music has hit Pandora and I don't have a reason why it wouldn't. The artist name is Chloelle Bowen

It appears that even a touch of A.I. creation within a song eliminates it from Pandora. They are losing a "HUGE" part of market share because of their foolishness.

Yeah. I get that they're one of the few who are curating music with real people who decide what content does and doesn't make it, but when you clearly accept, approve and feel previous submissions were acceptable quality and then deny everything going forward... it puts a hefty negative strike against the brand.

I put a TON of work into the stuff I put out their and to be shot down because it uses elements of AI rather than me shelling out countless amounts of $$$ I don't have to studios and physical bands and singers... no thanks.

The excuse that it dilutes payments and such is total BS because you get paid per stream. So if no one listens those people aren't getting paid squat anyway.

Pandora wasn't my big earner anyway BUT it was my favorite platform I listened on so it always sat in my top streamers to promote never the less. Now? I canceled my subscription to them and leave them out of any and all promotions. If I suddenly am not going to be supported by them, I sure as heck not supporting them either.

Understandable. NONE of my music uses any form of AI. All hand recorded, all manually mixed and mastered. They took the 1st 9 of my songs, did not take the last two. If my next two being released Saturday, 11/7 don't make it, I will remove their link from my website as well.
Good luck with yours getting posted. Fingers crossed.

My last two as well where not posted on their site on release day. No AI
as well all instruments played by me. Not sure why they have become
difficult to use this year.

The wicked thing is there are a lot of musicians, such as myself, that never have not will ever use AI in my music. It's all manually recorded, part by part, track by track, solo by solo, mixed and mastered by me directly in my keyboard. Short of showing them my music file, I don't know what else to do. I guess they only want the big names/already popular people on their site. Thank goodness there are other platforms out there that support us new and upcoming musicians. Why don't they just tell us what they are looking for so we can provide proof of non-AI generated music, if that is indeed the issue?
I had to create a ticket with Pandora, as instructed by Distrokid, to find out why my latest songs were not posted and what the timeline may be. Guess what? I received an AI generated, chatbot response. So...... The irony! I tried reaching out again last week. No response. Easy enough to update my webpage links to remove them.
Good luck fellow musicians!

You won't get much beyond canned responses sadly. Just a generic they've passed your message or a ticket to the curation team. IF you're lucky they'll just eventually get around to telling you "no". Otherwise you just get ghosted.

Pretty sure in their submission policies they state they won't really tell you one way or another if they'll accept your music. You basically just get to figure out that it's not there.

Now I won't deny and am very transparent about integrating AI into things, BUT I'm not cranking out bulk **ahem** either. At least by my analytic metrics on other platforms 10,000+ active listeners monthly doesn't come off as **ahem** to me.

My lyrics are very personal with specific stories I want told. The other series they are lyrics that exist in my own published works or have been inspired by characters and events within those works. I like to write.

I have very specific and peculiar sounds and styles I want and very specific instrumentation and then in my audio program work out all the track layers and sound effects the way I want. There is no lack of effort taking place to be certain. 😞

I know I automatically get a strike against me because I do embrace the AI aspects with mine, but there is no amount of extreme efforts put in to produce a particular quality sound for a set genre style that fits the stories and emotional tone I want them to tell.

I hate that all AI is classified and bunched with those folks who clearly abuse the **ahem** out of it.

The amount of time and effort I put in before even integrating AI into any of it, followed by all of the post work I put in arranging and adding to the tracks.

I submitted a new song via DistroKid, and it's now available on Spotify, Apple Music, YT Music and others, but it's still not here on Pandora. It was submitted 10/15. I would expect it to be available by now. Anyone else had an issue like this?
