App crashes in Maps but not Waze

Anyone notice that Pandora hates Google Maps and repeatedly shuts down with a 'no file' message, but works great with Waze? Did Waze pay Pandora for play and that's why it's promoted in their app and Google didn't? I have done all the 'fixes' recommended and they just don't fix it. Breaking up with Maps to be annoyed with Waze pop ups almost isn't worth it, except that when I drive cross country and it's too dangerous to keep fidgeting with my phone just to not have to listen to the same radio music loops every 90mins. Breaking up is hard to do 🎶

1. What is the make and model of your phone (and carrier, if applicable)?
2. Is there an error message? If so, what does it say?
3. Can you provide me with a screenshot of what you're seeing?
