Having this exact problem. Goes offline in an area that has no Internet and does not go back online when back in Internet access area. Pandora software is up to date.  Google pixel 8 phone. Verizon wireless. Cache cleared, phone restarted.

Hi @lindagig

Welcome to community!

Just to confirm your experience, Pandora goes in Offline Mode when you lose your mobile network connection but does not go back online when the network connection is regained?

To clarify, Pandora should come back online when you regain a network connection, however, there won't isn't an audible tone or notification to let you know that you've regained network connection. And it won't return to the previous played station. Pandora will continue to play the station it started in Offline Mode until you change stations.

The experience specific to this thread is that even with a mobile network connection available, Pandora begins in Offline Mode and listeners are unable to return online, even when trying to manually toggle back to online.

Does that sound like what you're experiencing? Thanks!

yes, you've got it right.
i drive the same route often.  at a certain point i hear something like: "you've lost internet so we're switching you to an offline station." when i'm in internet range in a few miles (i can make calls, etc), pandora does not automatically switch back to the station i was listening to.
so, are you saying that this is correct and the only way to get the original station back after it went to offline is to use my phone to change the station back?
if so, is there a way to NOT switch to the offline station when i'm out of internet range?  that would be preferable to listening to the offline station until i can stop and use my phone to change the station back.

Hey @lindagig

I moved your messages into a new thread to help keep things organized, since the other post is tied to a separate experience that our engineering team is currently investigating.

I completely understand how frustrating this experience can be. At the moment, there isn’t a way to disable Offline Mode when your mobile connection drops. Offline Mode is designed to keep the music playing when a connection is lost, but I understand it’s not ideal that there isn’t any indication when your connection has been re-established.

The only way to avoid an automatic switch to an offline station would be to manually toggle into Offline Mode ahead of time. That way, you can listen uninterrupted during your journey, though you would still need to manually switch back to Online Mode once you’re ready.

In the meantime, I’ve noted your feedback around the offline experience and will be sure to share it with the appropriate team. I’m sorry I don’t have a better workaround to offer right now, but I appreciate you taking the time to share what you’re running into.
