I am noticing that even when I have Pandora stopped and cleared (not used) it is still running and using up battery. Only way to fix it is to apply a force stop to it. Anyway to get this to stop?

@Cdog02mustgt I recommend running through the following troubleshooting steps listed here.
Let us know if you continue to run into issues with this.
All the steps are reversed of what I need. None of them apply.
Thanks

Did you work this out ? If so, how ?
Does Pandora use as much battery as YouTube ?
Been killing too many phones watching too much YouTube , when I only need the music not the videos?
Will listening to Pandora use less battery than YouTube ?

Hi there, @Parica0801. 👋
Thanks so much for posting on the Pandora Community.
Sorry to hear that you may be experiencing battery draining issues.
Let's try running through the standard troubleshooting steps on your Android device while I have a trace enabled on your account.
Feel free to let me know if you continue experiencing this after trying out those steps.
I look forward to hearing back! 🎧
I am having the same problem how do we fix it
@Drdee I recommend running through our suggested troubleshooting steps to see if they resolve this: Troubleshooting for Android Devices
If you continue to experience issues, can you send over a bit more info about your device?
Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening?
Have you identified any other patterns or notable information?
Thanks for working with me on this. 🤝
I have the same problem. Currently they have no solution for it. Waiting on an email from them with a solution. It doesn't matter if it is wifi or cell phone data, the results are the same. Still uses battery when not in use.
Thanks for letting us know about your experience, @df9192.
It sounds like you've been in touch with our User Support team via email.
A specialist will help with reporting your device info to our engineering team. 🎧
I've noticed unusually high battery drain even when I'm not using the app and even after swiping the app from recent apps. What can I do?
Hi there, @schzac. 👋
Thanks so much for posting about this. I completely understand how frustrating this could be.
To keep the community space organized, I moved your post over to this existing thread: Pandora battery drain when not using
I can recommend running through these steps to see if it helps with the battery drainage here. Another option is to try force closing the app to see if this changes the drainage as well.

I'd still like to report this over to our engineering team. Can you send over a bit more info about your device?
Appreciate your help with this! 🎧
I noticed this problem today. I think it may be related to Android Auto. That was the last time I used Pandora. The app did not show up as an active task but was eating my battery alive. I don't think AA released the app when I exited the car.
Hi, @tempeViking. 👋
Thanks for letting us know about your experience. Our engineering team is aware of this issue.
Could you share a bit more about your device? I'd like to pass this along to our engineering team on your behalf.
Appreciate your help with this. 🎧
I haven't used Pandora all day, but it used 34% of my battery. This has happened repeatedly after I run Pandora, sometimes for only a few minutes. Only solution I've found is to do a force stop in apps.

Hey, @blueskyca. 👋
Sorry to hear that you're experiencing battery drainage issues.
If you haven't already, let's try running through the standard troubleshooting steps on your Android device while I have a trace enabled on your account, to see if this helps.
In the meantime, I've already shared this information with our engineering team on your behalf. 🎧
Trouble shooting steps and rebooting have had no effect. Even if I run Pandora for only a few minutes, it triggers something to drain my battery over the course of a day. Force Stop has been the only effective way of preventing this unacceptable battery drain. I'd post an image of my Android battery drain but the site reports I don't have permission.
Thanks for the follow up, @blueskyca. Sorry to hear that didn't help.
I have reported your experienced over to our engineers for further investigation. We appreciate your patience during this process. 🎧
