Android: Pandora Resets after Pausing / Unpausing

If I pause my music for more than a few seconds, the pandora app resets itself (the app stays open but when I want to unpause again, the app acts like it just opened, with the beating P) and resets whatever playlist I've been listening to. This is very annoying, especially when I just pause for a minute to speak to somebody.

Managed to turn off battery optimization on pandora and it worked like a charm. Thank you very much!
