In general, audio behavior is controlled by the device's operating system and the individual apps you're using. If another app, such as a game, video app, or other media application, needs to play its own audio, it may automatically pause or interrupt Pandora playback. Unfortunately, Pandora isn't able to override the audio settings or controls of other apps.
Depending on your device, you may have options to mute system sounds or in-game audio. For example, many mobile games allow you to disable their music and sound effects within the game's settings. In some cases, this may allow Pandora to continue playing without interruption.
To better understand your experience, can you tell us a little more about your setup? For example, are you listening on a mobile device, or gaming console such as an Xbox?
