When I play Pandora on the Android app in my car, I choose the shuffle option. Occasionally, the app would switch to a specific station when I started playing in the car. Now the app switches to a specific station all the time, even when I turn the car off and on at a stop. This requires that I reselect the shuffle option every time I get in the car. Did something change in the app or do I need to change a setting?

Hi @MichaelER
Welcome to community!
Does this only happen when connected to the Android Auto app or directly from the Pandora app too?
To see if it would help improve your experience, let's try clearing the cache and data on your phone. You can use the following steps:
- Open your device Settings
- Tap Apps
- Scroll down to find Pandora
- Select Storage
- On the storage details page tap Clear Data.
Keep in mind that the steps for each Android device is slightly different. If you have a Pixel, you can check out Google's help page for steps on how to clear space on your device.
Please note that you will be asked to log into your account after completing these steps. You may need to re-download some of your offline content after this. As a Pandora Plus subscriber, however, you should receive that offline content again automatically.

I cleared the data and the cache and logged back into Pandora. This did not fix the problem. Previously, Pandora would resume playing a paused song when I restarted the car and turned on the audio in my car. This last time it went straight to a specific station without resuming the paused song.
I play Pandora at home through a Wiim music streaming amp without this problem.

Thanks for the follow up, @MichaelER.
Sorry to hear the steps didn't help. Based on your description it seems like this may only be happening when connected through the Android Auto app. I don't believe I can offer any other troubleshooting steps that would help to resolve immediately. I've gone ahead and passed your information and experience to our engineering team for further review and investigation.
Could you please confirm your:
- Android OS:
- Pandora version:
- Android Auto app version:
Thanks!
