I have a 2016 GMC Canyon, the factory IntelliLink software has a Pandora app. My Android phone has the most recent version of the Pandora app. If my phone is connected via Bluetooth to my truck and I select the factory Pandora app on my truck, it attempts to play my phone app, however the truck cannot finish the connection and says to check my phone even though the phone app plays. Other music apps play with no issues.
Hi @MusicFan0098! Thanks for posting.
Could you provide the following information so I can investigate?
To clarify, when you try to use the app on your GMC head unit, Pandora tries to play through your phone versus through your GMC speakers?
Let me know.
Use your mobile device only when conditions allow and as permitted by applicable law.
Once my phone connects to truck bluetooth, I tap the Pandora app on the GMC head unit. I get the error pictured below (if I press the play/triangle icon nothing happens). If I unlock my phone and check the Pandora app it then starts to play on my phone. I have to press the Radio button on my GMC head unit, then press the Media button...then Pandora starts to play through the truck speakers.
1. Samsung SM-J337A. Pandora app v2011.1 (android-tuner 20111011)
2. Haven't tried using USB.
3. No error on the app. The GMC head unit has "Pandora error Please Check Connected Device".
4. Sure:
Thanks for the info and screenshot @MusicFan0098!
I've reported this to our engineering team so they can take a closer look at what may be happening.
Thanks for your patience in the meantime.

Ridiculous. I was hoping to ditch Sirius for Pandora but it’s far to difficult to have to start from scratch every time I get in the car.
