Pandora has truly been the soundtrack to so many chapters of my life. From discovering hidden gems through the Music Genome Project to rediscovering old favorites I’d almost forgotten, no other app has captured that same magic for me.

Thank you to everyone who’s helped shape and nurture Pandora over the years — the curators, the builders, and the dreamers who made it what it is. You’ve changed the way we connect with music, and it means more than you know.

I’ve had my current account since 2009, but my Pandora journey started back in 2007 — and I’m still listening with the same joy and curiosity all these years later. 💙

Given I earned the "20 years" account badge it would seem my account is from 2005. I was drawn in by the Music Genome Project after reading an article about it somewhere. I loved the idea of finding out exactly what musical genes I was attuned to. I used to put thumbs up on songs until I found my "niche" but now they have all been removed to allow the stations in my collection to do the DJing.

My current go to station is the artist "Etherwood" who I know discovered through my prior pandora station "Keeno" who I think discovered through my prior pandora station "Metrik" and on and on it goes. The new discoveries have been so much fun over the years listening to Pandora.

It has been a minute or two since I joined Pandora but, had to be around 2007 based on where I was and what I was doing when I remember listening to it for the first time.  It is amazing how 🎵 can ground us in our own memories and timelines in ways nothing else can.  Happy Birthday Pandora!  It's been a pleasure and looking forward to the next twenty!
