In the mid-1970s  (74, 76.) Can anyone guess the

Name of what American extremely popular based (Prog) Rock band was.

Hint:                    During there First or second released sold quarter of a million copies, and then with another album released about 2 years later, went on to receive substantial and excessive airplane on American Radio-(even still today.) And went on to achieve International  Success and worldwide success.  Also with their later recordings selling in excess over 3 million copies achieved multi-platinum success, Which puts them on the map in "Classic rock and music history forever"

Hey, @Johndeckman9. 👋

Love this question! Would it be Kansas?

If not, could you share one more hint?!

@AlyssaPandora that is a great choice, here are my top two which happen to be theirs as well... “Carry On Wayward Son” and “Dust in the Wind” are classics that still resonate with many people today, including me...As far as the answer goes to the question of @Johndeckman9  I will say Led Zeppelin, I don't think there was another band more popular during that era... Their albums like “Physical Graffiti” (1975) and “Presence” (1976) were massive hits, and they had a huge following worldwide. Songs like “Stairway to Heaven,” “Kashmir,” and “Whole Lotta Love” became iconic and are still celebrated today. Anyway, that is my 2 cents worth...

Take care and GOD bless...

No apology needed, @Johndeckman9. This was worth the wait! 😄

I really enjoyed reading about your early listening days with WPLJ. You’re so right, the ’70s brought us some of the finest classic and prog rock. And catching Rush live six times? That’s incredible!

Thanks for sharing this memory, and I hope we hear more of your stories soon. ROCK ON! 🤘

Hey:

Thank you Alyssa, for giving me a return reply...

Music 🎶 is much of my Life,

From talent in my family from  (my father ) To my deep interest

In Music from: creativity in studio, production to live performance =  signature sound.

My dad was gifted with the voice of a professional singer, he never took one vocal lesson in his life.  But he could sing beautifully "Vibrato " and understood vocal harmony.from the Bee Gees to temptations.. and yes 🎶Stand by me, Benny King.. He just knew it,

Being exposed to that at a very young age, The Music 🎶 Was always very important to me...

To the point where i took up playing bass guitars..While in the garage band, that didn't work out.😆😆.. then Latter became Roadie and equipment guy.👈

Probably the best thing that appeals to me from any musical band or act from Prog Rock, to jazz like Miles davis, Chet Baker and yes Dave Koz, and even to,  classical music, is the signature sound..  When you hear derek Trucks play guitar you know right away who it is. And so it goes....

I'm considering starting a podcast, for music and in classic rock appreciation.. I'm been told by many other people.I would do good at this kind of thing..

If I could ask: I know Pandora is a digital platform. (And something I enjoy very much.) but how does one start out.. Having a large amount of knowledge and interest in music. Start at an entry level in pandora.

Just wondering..

Have a good night happy holidays..

Take care..

@Johndeckman9 I loved your story. I would be a faithful podcast listener once you get it up and running.

Have a blessed day. Take care and GOD bless.
