Chrome: Screen freezes and becomes unresponsive

I am on an i27" 2021 Mac  iOS 14.4.1 using Google Chrome. No msg No that I am aware of only FROZEN SCREEN. NO RESPONSE CLICKING on STOP Triangle to get to Parallel Lines for  PLAY. At top upperthere is the available Click On Option to UPGRADE
