I have Pandora desktop app on Windows 11 computer. The close and minimize controls are missing from the app window. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still has the same problem. I have restarted the computer as well.
how about the morons just readd the X = exit button rather the **ahem** **ahem**
BRILLIANT!!
TannerPandora,
9/3 or shortly before, say 1st of September, you rolled out a new Pandora Desktop app that removed the windows tile bar and windows right side minimize, restore and close X options. This is a serious mishap on your quality control end to deploy the app in this state. Even though you describe a work around on how to minimize (windows key - down arrow), not every user is going to find this discussion point or know that work around. To close the app you need to right click on the task bar icon and click "Close window". Both of these work arounds are less known for a normal windows user wanting to minimize or close a windows application. You need to resolve this ASAP rather than forcing your user to experience your app taking over control of the desktop. Please take this seriously and deploy a fix immediately. It can be taken the wrong way by many pandora users.
I am most displeased with the latest Pandora Desktop App update. It now apparently is running as a web app using Microsoft Edge settings. If I wanted to use Microsoft Edge, it would be my default browser. It is not. Now, my app has no borders, I have to click on the desktop icon to close the app. And it is now monstrously huge. You are forcing me to consider discontinuing my subscriptions, 6 years loyal member now, and switch to a better app as this is frustrating and I am now losing patience. Please return appearance controls to users as it should be. Thank you for your time.
Missing the same controls
Same for me the controls are also missing.
I'm missing the controls also. Very frustrating.
Hi @Stephencf
Welcome to Community!
Thanks for letting us know about the missing window controls after your Windows update. Our teams are reviewing this issue, and we appreciate you taking the time to report your experience.
In the meantime, depending on your version of Windows and system configuration, you may be able to minimize the Pandora window using one of these options:
These options may vary depending on your Windows version and settings, but they may provide a temporary workaround while we investigate.
Thanks for your patience!
Same here. Very frustrating!!!
Mine are missing too! emailed support on 9/3/26 and they said it was not supposed to be that way and they were looking into it.
Of note, in the Microsoft store (when I reinstalled it 3 times to see if it would fix it) the screenshot of Pandora does not show the minimize/maximize/close buttons at the top anymore either.
Using Windows 11 - app from Microsoft store
Pandora Update: 9/8/2026
Hi everyone,
Thanks for your patience while our teams worked on this issue.
The community team has received confirmation that a fix has been released for the issue causing the window controls (minimize, maximize, and close) to be missing from the Pandora desktop app on Windows. The fix is included in the Windows Pandora Desktop version 16.1.1.
If you have automatic app updates enabled in the Microsoft Store, the latest version should update automatically and no additional action is needed.
If automatic updates are disabled, or if you’d like to manually check for an update, open the Microsoft Store > Library > Check for updates to install the latest version of Pandora.
Thanks again to everyone who reported this issue and for your patience while we worked to get it resolved.
Thank you! I used the Microsoft Store app, Downloads section, to get the update, and now I'm seeing the controls in the title bar area again. Thanks again!
Hi @JacobKlein ,
We are glad to hear everything is working now!
Please let us know if you need help with anything else.
Mine is also FIXED! I reinstalled and there they were!
Hooray!! Thank you Pandora peeps for being on top of this! 💖
