Idea: Ideas to make Pandora a good podcast player

I am not an Apple person and I dislike Spotify. I am also in general someone who does not like to have a lot of subscriptions. I was using Google podcasts, but they shut that down and forced us to go to Youtube Music. That has been an annoying hot mess.

I would love for Pandora to be my all in one audio platform, I have been using the music side for decades and it is the one subscription I do not mind paying for.

I have been playing with the podcast portion for a day, and I have a lot of little suggestions. Some I have already posted, others might be covered by other people, and some might be user interface error. Still, I thought I would list out some thoughts, and encourage others to contribute to the list. I think Pandora could take advantage of a poor podcast player market right now.

1. The ability to mark an episode as "listened to". Preferably with a multi episode selection option.

2. The ability to paste in a podcasts RSS feed in order to subscribe.

3. A time slider in the episodes, and maybe some "go forward 30 seconds" type buttons.

4. Access to the show notes provided by the podcast.

Thanks for your feedback on podcasts! I agree, as someone who really enjoys podcasts, the features you mentioned would be a great improvement.

Of course I noticed afterwards that there is a slider bar on one of the playback screens (although it is very small). I did also sort of find show notes, but they were all compressed into one word salad blob, and there were no active hyperlinks.

I think the user interface could be improved in general.
