American Pie by Don McLean ends early

Why does Pandora truncate the end of some songs? For example, Don McLean’s song, American Pie, the verse that starts with, “the three men I admire most, the father, son, and the Holy Ghost”, is never heard. That is only one example and it has nothing to do with what device I’m using or what browser I’m using, it has everything to do with Pandora policy.

If you’re only going to play 3/4 of a song then I want a 25% refund on my subscription. Or I can move to a platform that doesn’t truncate songs.

I do see we have multiple versions of American Pie by Don Mclean, each varying in length:

We don't currently have the option to filter out certain versions of tracks, such as remixes or live recordings on Pandora stations.

The best way to get your idea heard is by upvoting and commenting on this idea submission in Pandora Community.

In the meantime, if you Thumb Down a live or alternate version of a song, you will not hear that version again on the station you're listening to. This will not keep the studio version of that track from playing and doesn't necessarily mean that you will no longer hear other songs by that artist. You should use your Thumb ratings freely to tell Pandora what you want and don't want to hear.

This being said, I do see you are upgraded to Pandora Premium. With this level of subscription, you can search for American Pie by Don Mclean and select the correct version of the track that you want to listen to.
