Explicit Content filter is not working

Hello! I am experiencing the same issues. In my settings, I do not allow explicit content, yet it still plays. Definitely not my favorite since my 10 year old listens from my account.

• Can you please provide me with a screenshot of the next explicit track that plays on your station?

i have explicit content turned off in my settings. I am using iOS. I want to play radio edit versions of hip-hop songs that I hear on the radio and therefore are the “clean” or censored version. But when I play Post Malone radio, for example, songs by many artists come on using the F word and the N word, and much more. Can you help me?

I've taken a look at your account, and I do see that you have your explicit filter set to off (for clean / censored tunes only). I moved your post over to this existing thread to keep everything organized: Explicit Content filter is not working

Explicit content is playing for me also even though explicit content is set to off on my account. 

• The device you are using to stream Pandora- Chrome browser
• The name of the station where this occurred- auto play after selecting one song
• The name(s) of the artist(s)- Everlast
• The title(s) of the explicit track(s)- What It's Like
• Were you able to give the track(s) a Thumbs down?- didn't think to do this
• Were you listening using a Pandora Mode like Crowd Faves, Discovery or Deep Cuts?- no

Suddenly today, songs have been playing on my stations with explicit lyrics while the setting is turned off to not allow. These stations have been set up for a long time and have been filtering up until today. Any suggestions on what to do?

One thing to add, if I go back to my history and play the song again, it filters.

Having this same issue. On Android.

I pick a clean version song, skip and the next song(s) are all explicit. Worked fine before today.

Update: Going to a song and starting radio from that song restores the previous behaviour.

I also noticed my account had 100 stations out of 100 so this is possible a reason. New stations aren't started automatically when the currently playing song comes to an end.

If you haven't already, could you share a few more details about what you're experiencing?

• Is this happening on certain stations or all of your stations?
• Could you provide the exact names of the stations you're noticing this happen with?
• Are you giving a Thumbs Down 👎to the songs with explicit content?
• The devices you are using to stream Pandora
• The name of the station where this occurred
• The name(s) of the artist(s)
• The title(s) of the explicit track(s)
• Were you listening using a Pandora Mode like Crowd Faves, Discovery or Deep Cuts?

@juliusg You mentioned picking a song to listen to on-demand. Once the song is over, you go into "Auto-Play" correct? Then, the explicit content starts playing? 

Also, this issue occurs when you start a station from said song.

Let me know as I'd like to report all of this information over to our engineering team. 🎧

Yes the issue happens with Auto-Play.

It does not happen when I start a station from the song. It seems that previously when you pressed play a station was started automatically, but now that doesn't happen.

So I guess we need an Auto-Play Filter or For the Play button to start a "station" automatically for those who have the filter enabled.

I am experiencing the same issue. I have “Allow explicit content” set to off and it still plays explicit content when in auto play. Like previously stated it generally happens after playing a hip hop song that I picked and after the song ends, goes into auto play. Please fix this

Same here. Explicit content will arrive sometimes after auto-play starts mixing in new songs when a playlist or single song selection ends.

Just plain not cool.  My kids listen to Pandora and the filter absolutely **ahem**.  Unless my gauge of what explicit is and I don’t think it is.  Fix this Pandora immediately.  There should also be an option to set certain stations as explicit and others as not.  Not the blanket approach.  I want explicit but I have stations my kids listen to that I don’t want them hearing it and don’t want to flip the explicit filter back and forth constantly.  The first part is most important, get the filter to work in the first place!  Cant be that hard, FM and XM got it right.  Keep your customers

@rdm Looks like your filter is currently set to allow explicit content. Based on your original message, it sounds like you switch back and forth between the filter depending on the current audience. If this is happening while your filter is enabled, I'd like to gather the info request above in order to share this with our engineering team ASAP.

If you'd like to see an explicit filter on a station by station basis, I would recommend creating a feature request here. While this is not currently a feature, other listeners may be interested in this option, and it'll give them an opportunity to upvote that request.
