Pandora Update 07/02/2020: Hi everyone!

Our engineering team is aware of the issue with the "Hours Listened To" time stamp resetting.

They are currently looking into it and are working on a resolution. 🛠

Keep an eye on this thread as all updates will be posted here.

Thanks for your patience in the meantime!

Well, up until today, the hours listened counters had been fairly stable for me since this summer.

However, in accessing My Pandora account this evening (01/02/21), three of the stations that I've listened to over the past day had their hours listened jump by 200 hours each.

What happened in the past 24 hours?

In another thread you had asked if stations that are getting reset to "0 minutes listened" have been played within the past 12 months.

I have a station that was definitely played within the last year and was recently reset to 0 - even though there are 192 Thumbs Up Songs on it.

Is there any update on a resolution to this?

@Aseidel Please try signing out of Pandora on the web, and then sign back in again. Since signing out clears Pandora's local storage from your browser, this may help.

If you continue to run into issues, can you please send me a screenshot of what you are seeing?

Thanks for working with me on this. 🤝

I posted on this issue back in Aug. 2020. My "hours listened to" got all messed up on the high end and then were somewhat adjusted though to low. My listened to hours just picked up from the seemingly random hours listened to. Well today I noticed the first station that I created 15 years ago and should have nearly 1,000 hours but had 170 hours as of last week now has ZER0 seconds listened to. In fact 24 (about half) of my station have zero seconds. Is there no way to fix this?

The first screen shot is of my most listened to artist. The hours and order is way off. Led Zeppelin should be around 4-500 hours BHTM 200 hours. My Country didn't even make the screen shot showing 61 hours but is probably my second most listened to station. The second station shows some of my stations with Zero time yet some of them are my first stations and should have hundreds of hours. Also I took these after signing out and back in.

Same problem, all my older stations showing 0 seconds listened.

Here is a screen shot of one with 111 thumbs up, 40 thumbs down, and 0 seconds

Thumbs up 111Thumbs up 1110 seconds listened0 seconds listened

Signing in and out makes no difference, just tried it.

This is not a brand new problem. It has been messed up since last year.
I've been following this thread seeing no solution, so figured I would add my screen shot.

Stations I have had for over 10 years with hundreds, perhaps thousands of hours of listening now show 0 seconds or just a few hours.

This is on multiple machines/platforms and web browsers, Safari, Chrome, FireFox, Mac and Windows.

It's pretty clear the data at Pandora is gone/messed up.

Also I listened to "Lost Maples" today for about an hour, still shows 0 seconds, but I assume the number of hours doesn't update immediately.

Hey Adam,

This bug has taken on a new and different life of its own, and I just wanted to report the changes. This has morphed from resetting my station counts to 0 hours listened, to cutting random stations Total Hours listened in half. Different ones. Every week.

Last week, Deadmau5 radio lost 240+ hours. Today, Metric Radio and Lonely Island radio lost half of each of their hours.

Just thought this would be helpful info for the engineers.

My favorite station that i listen to every day for hours shows 0 seconds listened. It throws off the top 3 stations that i can use offline which is the only reason i purchased pandora. Please fix this bug! It's been so long and now i had to delete ALL my stations so that my favorite one is downloaded for offline use such as on an airplane or road trip! PANDORA GET ON IT this is ridiculous.

EDIT: I have been listening on multiple devices, apps, and browsers over the last month and I am a software engineer myself.

I have signed out. Here is what I see. I have put it hundreds if not thousands of hours on the Purple Hat station. Screen Shot 2021-10-25 at 12.47.54 PM.png
