When I came back to Pandora, I signed up for Premium. I wanted a streaming solution where I could set up playlists and stream the music I wanted to listen to. I deleted everything from my collections--all the stations, all the previous artists, every song, etc. I wanted to start from scratch. I have zero stations, zero podcasts, zero episodes. Every now and then and for some reason, increasingly frequently, Thumbprint Radio will rear its head and play ancient songs from stations that no longer exist. I immediately shut it off, and hit "remove from my collection." Alas, it returns over and over again. Is there anyway to just get rid of it? I don't want it. It's really annoying. I just want to be able to play my playlists.
Unfortunately, none of that seems to have worked. Like a zombie, it just keeps coming back randomly. I always select "remove" from my collection and then a couple of days later, there it is again. I have the URL for this phantom "Thumbprint" radio station. Wish it could just be deleted. Maybe I can just block that particular URL and it will stop happening? Other users have said they just closed their account and got a completely new account. If I get frustrated enough, I'll either do that or go back to Spotify Premium. Anyway, I appreciate your attempts to help, Adam. Feel free to close this thread topic. Thank you for all of your advice!
@Brincelyn It sounds like you may need to check the bookmark that you use to access Pandora.
It should only be: https://www.pandora.com
If there is anything added onto to it (e.g., https://www.pandora.com/#/genres/top), then erase that. That is most likely the problem.
Let me know if this helps.
Hi. I don't use a bookmark to access it but I do keep it open in a tab. Perhaps that is the problem. Seems very odd that I erased everything when I returned to Pandora and upgraded to premium and yet, it is still resurrecting ghosts onto Thumbprint radio. It brings up music from 2008. I took a screenshot of the "station" it calls Thumbprint. I keep "removing" it and Pandora keeps "collecting" it on my behalf. So weird.
@Brincelyn Yes I would exit the tab next time to see if that resolves the issue.
It may also help to completely sign out of Pandora, and then sign back in.
Let me know how it goes.
