Alexa devices: Playback stop with grouped speakers

I am having the same issue as everyone else. I will "Allexa play eagles radio on the everywhere group" as an example. I have been doing this for years, any pandora station even ones I haven't set up. This has worked great for me. I seems the last few months playback just stops. No patterrn I have been able to figure out.
I have the paid i guess premium account. No problem in car with Android auto, just this.
Spottify with their unpaid account plays forever, no issues. Not a Spottify fan although lack of music is anoying because you are my only real source of music.

Please get this fixed, don't want to jump ship to other services.

Hi @bigdogsam ,

Sorry for any trouble with Pandora on your Alexa.

This issue is usually specific to the network you're using to access Pandora, so let's start by rebooting your modem and router.

If you're still having the same problem, then please try the following steps:

  1. Check to see if there are any updates available for your Alexa and Pandora apps. Update both as necessary.
  2. Restart your Alexa device by unplugging the power source and plugging it back in.
  3. Try unlinking and relinking your Pandora account via the Alexa app.

Let me know if this helps.

I am having the same problem. Long time Pandora user, purchased a several echo devices to have music in multiple rooms. Just the past few months Pandora just stops playing, or goes to next song from the middle of current song. Works fine with Android auto don't really use bluetooth since i use the echo devices. Spotify and Amazon music work fine never stop or skip. I have upgraded software linked and relinked account same thing. I can't imagine it is a firewall issue because it does play. Have rebooted entire network and unplugged all devices, same problem.

Also having the same problem. I've had 5 Echos in a group for years with premium Pandora and haven't had a problem. Last few months they'll randomly stop playing or will play the first few seconds of a song and skip to another song. Tried resetting router, upgrading units and apps, unlink and link, still skipping and/or stopping.

I am also having the same issue with a speaker group of Alexa devices.  It's been happening in the recent months.  I have to go to the alexa app and just hit play again, but it's frustrating.

Omg I’m so glad to know I’m not the only one having this issue. It has to be a Pandora/alexa thing because I left my Pandora playing on my HomePods for 4 hours the other day and no issues. I hope they fix this issue soon maybe I should get Spotify but I actually enjoy Pandora and it is the best for pushing good music you like.
