Authentication via Pianobar failing

I am working on a Raspberry Pi-base radio project - a pi living in a mid-century tube radio body that switches between my pandora stations when I tune it. I have the software mostly working, but today suddenly I can no longer authenticate with Pandora. I'm using pianobar as a client, and admittedly there was a lot of starting and stopping as I was troubleshooting and trying various things. But my pace would be measured in minutes, not milliseconds.

Has anyone had trouble using pianobar like this? Is there another approach? I'm getting "Error: Invalid auth token." suddenly. I've tried a number of workarounds and always get the same thing. Help?

Hi @chickenliqu0r!

Welcome to the Pandora Community!

That sounds like such a creative project, a Raspberry Pi–based radio housed in a vintage body sounds really fun and inventive!

While I don’t have any specific troubleshooting steps to offer for this setup, please note that Pandora isn’t officially supported on Raspberry Pi or similar operating systems. Because of that, you may encounter functionality issues from time to time.

That said, we have a great community here, and another member may have run into something similar and could share a workaround or insight that helps.

Thanks for visiting the Pandora Community and Happy Halloween! 🎃
