Bose + Google Assistant: Plays Christmas music with artist

Topwop

For the last week or two, when I ask my Pandora playing on my Bose smart speaker to play a particular artist, all it starts playing is Christmas music. At first plays the artist I requested Christmas song, and then shuffled through different artists also only playing Christmas music. It is August and I am not requesting Christmas music?

@Topwop Could you provide the name of the track or artist you're requesting to play?

The next time it happens, please provide the date and time it happened.

I actually recorded it on video.  In 8/31 at 12:04 PM I asked it to play Jon Pardi. It played him, but only Christmas music.  I then told it to play Sammy Kershaw, and it did; regular music.  I then asked it to play Jon Pardi again, who I play frequently, and it went right back to playing Christmas music.  I still have the video if you want to see it?  I might even have one from another day.  Also my Pandora cannot ID artist or song the last few weeks. It won’t pause speaker, or resume either

@Topwop I've taken a look and it appears like you currently have a Jon Pardi (Holiday) Radio stations, which is why you're listening Christmas songs.

I'd recommend deleting this station and creating a new one based on Jon Pardi. If you continue hearing Christmas songs after creating a new stations, please feel free to reach us out and we'll be happy to take a further look.

Good afternoon,

thank you for taking the time to answer me. I don’t have any station set on the speaker.  I just tell it to play an artist.  I say “play Jon Pardi” and it has played for the last two years I have the speaker.  Any artist I tell it to play it plays, and I never specified any holiday station.  I don’t even know how to delete a station because I haven’t seen them anywhere.  I just talk to the speaker.  I’m going to investigate this, and might have to call Bose to see how to delete stations, as well as the other issue regarding Google assistant.  Thank you

The artist is Jon Pardi and it happened yesterday at about 1900 hours.  I never had any station called holiday music for any artist, yet one was in with my Pandora stations.  I deleted it and made sure there were no others

@Topwop Thanks for providing that info.

I've passed this along to the appropriate parties for further investigation. We'll follow up with you if we need any additional details.

Thanks for your patience in the meantime!

Thank you very much. Hope they figure out what’s happening. I don’t want to hear Christmas music when it’s 85° and September just started! Today it also happened with another artist I often listen to. Sammy Kershaw.

Thank you,

Vinnie
