I had be using my devices (laptop, phone and roku apps) most of the day with no issues. In the evening I went to the Pandora app on roku. Everything was fine for about an hour as I added a couple a couple albums and was searching for other artists while listening. All of the sudden everything I did resulted in an unspecified error with the option to close. When I closed I saw I was still logged. So I logged out. Checked that all devices and roku apps were still working which they were. I could access Pandora on my laptop and phone error free. So i logged in and out of Pandora on the Roku several times and was still getting errors. Did system restart on Roku to no avail. Everything working except Pandora. Saw in community someone with similar problem. Moderator couldn't come up with anything and said he would pass it on to engineers. He then suggested a modem reset. I figured I had nothing to lose. So with laptop and Roku and phone on I unplugged modem for 5 minutes. Not surprised to see laptop and roku and phone not connected to internet. So plugged in modem and saw Laptop, phone and roku+apps come to life. Logged in to Pandora and it was performing perfectly. I am still puzzled as to how one app (Pandora) could have detected modem problem when all other devices and apps worked fine.
Hi @willaday
Thanks for posting to community and for sharing what ended up resolving your issue. I'm glad to hear you're back up and running!
Even though other apps and devices were working normally, it's possible the connection between your Roku and Pandora got into a stuck state. Restarting the modem forces a fresh network connection, which can sometimes clear up issues like that without affecting other services.
It's definitely understandable why that seems puzzling, especially when everything else on your network continues to work. Different apps communicate with different servers and maintain their own network sessions, so it's possible for one app to run into a connection issue while others continue working normally.
I appreciate you taking the time to let us know what worked!
