Not able to cast with Chromecast

Hi,

I am not able to get Pandora (version 2411.1.3) to work with my Chromecast. I am casting it from either a Samsung S22 or Pixel 8. Both phones are updated with the Pandora app updated to the latest version I have access to. I am using a NC2-6A5 model Chromecast (2nd gen) on a Samsung TV. When I try to cast the controls grey out, the tv briefly displays the pandora logo, then turns back to the Chromecast background screen and I get the message "Your session with Chromecast has ended" and the music stops playing. I've tried clearing the cache from the Pandora app. What else can I try? Is there a reason this doesn't work? I can get other music streaming services to cast.

Welcome to community!

Sorry to hear this is happening when trying to cast. Sounds like you've done some troubleshooting steps already. I don't have any other steps to provide that I believe would help. I've gone ahead and passed this to our engineering team for further review and investigation.

Could you do me a favor and share a screenshot of the error message you received with me. You can include picture directly here on community. This is best done on a web or mobile browser. You won't be able to include screenshots or pictures through the email notification you may receive.

Thanks so much for adding your info too! If it adds anything to the request, I'm considering cancelling my paid Pandora subscription in favor of one that works with my Chromecast as it's the only method I currently have to connect to my speakers. Would love to stay with Pandora though if I can get this to work.
