I have a new ONN 4K Plus with Android TV 14 on it. What I am trying to do is get Pandora playing and then switch to projectM. It starts to work and then the audio stops. I don't know if this is a ONN 4K Plus problem or a Android TV 14 problem, or if I am using a different version of Pandora. For your info this used to work on my Nvidia Shield Pro 2019, which I believe has Android TV 11 on it.
PS: I could not find a label, and it would let me add my own . I was looking for something like, "Background playing".
Hi @Lostcowboy
Welcome to community!
While I’m not deeply familiar with your specific setup, I have a few thoughts.
With the release of Android TV 14, there may have been changes to how the OS handles media streaming, audio, and background execution. It’s possible Google has tightened restrictions in these areas, which could impact playback behavior.
I’d recommend checking your ONN 4K Plus settings for any background playback limits or power/app optimization options that might be stopping Pandora. Adjusting those settings could help.
To better understand: does Pandora stop playing as soon as you leave the app, or only when you open projectM? Have you also tried launching projectM first and then starting Pandora?
