Pandora keeps saying Timed Out

dgmack57

I have pandora installed on my Android, Laptop and Roku. However, it only works on my laptop.

On my Android and Roku immediately upon booting up it will not play and always says "Your Pandora session has timed out.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and also cleared the data on the phone but it does not cure the problem.

Please any advice???

Hi @dgmack57

Welcome to community!

I was taking a closer look at your Pandora account. After some digging I see that your Android is on Pandora version 2212.1 which is from over a year ago.

I recommend updating to the latest version of Pandora to see if it helps.

Here's how to update the Pandora app on your Android device:

  1. Tap your profile avatar in the top right corner.
  2. Select Manage apps & device.
  3. Then tap Manage and scroll to Pandora for updates.

Tip: In some cases, you may need to restart your device to update an app.

I also recommending checking to see if there are any updates for your Roku as well.

To check for a software update on your Roku device, try the following steps:

  1. Press the Up Arrow on your remote to display the menu at top of the screen.
  2. Click the icon (initial or picture) in the top right corner of the page, and then select Settings.
  3. Select System then scroll and select System Update.
  4. Select Check Now, which will determine if there is an update available for your player. If so, follow the on-screen prompts to install the update.
  5. After the update, the device should restart. If not, please restart the device manually by unplugging it from the wall, then plugging it back in and trying again.
  6. Now try opening Pandora again.

If you're still having trouble, let's try a reboot of your Roku:

  • Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
  • Scroll to select Settings.
  • Next select System and then Power.
    • If you don't see Power, skip to the next step.
  • Finally, select System Restart.
