Greetings. I'm experiencing something of the same nature. While listening to music on my JBL extreme 2 Bluetooth speaker (1) randomly it will shut out I keep getting kicked off only to have to go back into it reselect what I was listening to and (2) again while jamming my tunes if I open other apps while playing Pandora I find I'm getting kicked off again. If u can plz help

Hi @Mrmusiclovr

Welcome to community!

I separated your post out since the experience you described happens on a Bluetooth speaker. Could you tell me a little more about your phone:

  • Make and model of your Android:
  • OS version:
  • Pandora version:

Keep in mind, if you're opening another app that has their own music/ sound affects, or requires the speaker or microphone, this may disable playback. Unfortunately, Pandora isn't able to override the function of another app.

In the meantime, I would check for any battery optimization settings for your Android. These are found with in the phone settings. You'll want to be sure that any battery customization are disabled for Pandora.

Please try the following steps:

  • Open your device Settings and then Apps.
  • Scroll to find Pandora or use Search in the upper right hand corner.
  • Select Battery
  • Next select Unrestricted.

Since there are numerous Android models, we aren't able to provide step by step instructions. If you find that the steps above don't fit your model, I recommend checking the user's manual for specific steps.

Thanks!
