Roku: Returning to Station list starts at top of list

I listen to Pandora thru my Roku via the tv screen and thru my sound system.  I have 150 stations.  If I listen to music on, for instance, station #90 for a while and I then want to move to station #91, I USED to hit 'return' and the Guide would appear with station #90 highlighted and I could just skip to next station.  NOW, if I hit 'return', the Guide returns to station #1. This means a lot of scrolling thru the Guide to reach station #91.  What changed and how can I fix this, if even possible?

Hi @keel

Welcome to community!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with Pandora your Roku. I'm not aware of any changes to Pandora on Roku recently, but I'm happy to report your experience to our engineering team for further investigation. Unfortunately, I don't believe any troubleshooting steps that I could offer now would be helpful to resolve this for you.

I've gone ahead and reported your details and account information to our engineering team. Thank you for your patience in the meantime!

I have the same problem with my Pandora channel on my Roku TV. No troubleshooting suggestions work. Please advise.

Neither Roku, nor Pandora know what the problem is but I'm certain that I
do and it is programming. Pandora changes their programming frequently and
they have a lot of different issues related to that. The minor updates we
get won't fix it. This will require a major programming fix so don't hold
your breath

Hi @Cmbbizdev ,

Sorry to hear the troubleshooting steps didn't help.

Could you tell me more about your Roku device?

  • What is the model?
  • What is the serial number? (Settings > System > About)
  • What Roku software version is your device using? (Settings > System > About)
  • What Pandora channel version are you on? (Highlight the Pandora channel icon and select the * key.)

Let me know what you find or if you have any trouble with these instructions.

Problem still persists. Just updated software too. As for the roku
information... This will be the 4th time I've uploaded it to you folks. I
doubt it will help at all since Roku itself says there is nothing wrong.
It IS Pandora programming based on other people's complaints about
programming also. As an ex-computer operator, I can see programming errors
too easily.
Anyway....

1. There is no error message for this issue.

2. There is nothing TO see for this issue.

I use Pandora on my Sony tv via a Roku Ultra through my stereo. When I
open Pandora, the music selection is on station #1. That's all well &
good. I usually listen to Pandora Thumbprint. If I scroll through my
collection of stations and pick, let's say station #65, then Pandora will
play that station. However, if I want to advance to station #66, the
normal method was to hit 'return' and Pandora would return to the guide
with station #65 highlighted and I could simply move to the next station
with ease. The Guide no longer allows this. Pandora returns to station #1
now. This means, I have to scroll through my stations to get to station
#66. Worse yet is that I have 150 stations. Scrolling thru 149 stations
to reach #150 is not going to stand with me. I was told that Pandora has a
limit of 55 stations and 3000 songs (I have 1300 songs) and the tech
suggested I delete some stations. I can do that on my cellphone and my
computer but I can not do that on the Roku. I did delete stations via the
computer but it did not affect the amount of stations on the Roku nor did
it affect how the Guide is now working.

What Pandora and I have done so far to attempt to fix this -

We have removed Pandora and reinstalled it, multiple times now.

We have unplugged both the tv and Roku and plugged them back in.

We have unplugged the HDMI cables and plugged them back in.

We have reset Pandora.

We have reset the Roku.

I have done a factory reset of the Roku.

We have routinely checked for updates each day.

We have gone through all the settings and made sure they are correct.

Roku and I have gone through all their settings and they concur with me
that this issue is not their equipment, especially since we swapped out the
Roku Ultra for my old Roku standard and both work fine until Pandora is
playing. I've returned to the Roku Ultra.

I use a Roku Ultra

model 4800X

FCC ID: TC2-R1036

serial #: S02A208J9R8N on bottom of Roku. X01000FJ9R8N is the online
serial #.

software version 15.0.4

Build 5534

I am using Pandora version 7.6 build 20.
