Trouble with my Sony TV

Hello again...it's me...I tried emailing direct but received no reply. Yes, somehow, on my own I was able to again enjoy Pandora from my Sony Smart TV, for like 2/3 weeks and then suddenly the horror white screen came up with a single line "Pandora unable to find connection" with radiating curved blue bars over the line (you can click on the that with hope it will lead to a way to resolve, but no, and you'd think it could be loss of an internet connection, but saw no sign of that). I tried re-connecting by email, again using the password that had worked, but it failed this time, and a clicked to reset, but received no reset email. So, I tried by the code, which is another number. Guess what... it worked... for 2 hours, then back to that horror message. Why is this such a problem? Is it related possibly to having it on my iPhone so my account is unable to also work on my smart TV? At home it's just more convenient from there...  Help! You mentioned the closing of suggestion feedback on August 4th. I know I've provided feedback and it seems from what the Pandora "team" wrote, others have as well. Have you considered on August 4th to implement suggestions making this platform more user friendly? James

Wow... like all of us terribly busy, but thought I'd go through the headache of attempting another connection with Pandora on my Sony Smart TV... yes, and WOW it was working. All I can do is wonder why? Keep my fingers crossed. Tell you I'm happy, James PS. if I could take the time to figure out to add this to all my other related posts I would, but I don't have it...

Hi @bestschot

It's great to hear that Pandora is working again on your Sony TV! I know this has been a frustrating experience, especially with it seeming to work for a while, then suddenly stop again. I'm glad you're back to listening.

Just to reassure you, having Pandora on your iPhone will not prevent you from using the same account on your Sony TV. You can use your Pandora account on multiple supported devices.

However, you won't be able to listen to your Pandora account on multiple devices at the same time. So be sure to pause Pandora on your current device before moving on to another device.

If you happen to get a message when making the transition to another device, then it was most likely accidental and you can ignore it.

Circling back, since you've already gone through quite a bit of troubleshooting, I'd rather not have you repeat those same steps while everything is working normally.

If the issue returns, let me know the exact message or behavior you're seeing at that time. For example:

  • Does the white "Unable to find connection" screen appear again?
  • Does Pandora sign you out unexpectedly?
  • Does the activation code stop working?
  • Or is it something different?

Those details will help me determine whether this is the same issue returning or a new one, and I'll be happy to report it to the appropriate team.

In the meantime, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything continues working and you can just enjoy your music. Thanks for taking the time to keep us updated!
