How to redeem gift card when upgraded through Apple

If i use my pandora gift card, will it go back to using my debit card?

I just received a pandora gift card for $25. I know it won’t cover 4 months of the $5 service, because tax and everything, but that’s fine. Where do I enter the gift card? How do I make sure it uses the gift card and not my debit card?
