Skip on a Playlist resets Shuffle and repeats songs

I have curated a number of personal playlists, some with hundreds of songs.  I like to listen in shuffle mode.  When I skip a song, it seems to "reset" the shuffle which can cause it to repeat songs I've already played before playing the rest of the playlist.  I would have assumed that the shuffled order of the playlist stays intact until it reaches the end of the list.  If my impression is correct, is it possible to submit a product feature request so that it will complete the entire playlist before repeating songs?

We'll need a bit more information first. Can you share with me the following?

• Is this happening only on your phone?
• Could you tell me more about your device?
  • Device & Generation: (e.g. iPhone X, iPad Air (3rd gen), etc.)
  • Carrier:
  • iOS version: (Settings > General > About > Version)
  • Pandora version: (Pandora > Profile tab > Settings gear & scroll to the bottom of the screen)Could you tell me more about your device?
• The name of the Playlist or Playlists where this occurred?
• Is there an error message? If so, what does it say?

Thanks for helping with this, @MariaPandora Maria.  To answer your questions:

1. I listen on my phone about 98% of the time.  I have not noticed it on my computer, but honestly I have not really tested to see if it occurs on the computer as well.
2. I have an iPhone 16 Pro on the Verizon network, running iOS 26.5.2
3. I am on Pandora version 2606.3
4. Two examples of playlists where I've noticed this are "Walking 18" (191 songs) and "Chill Mix" (198 songs)
5. No, there is no error message.  It continues to play the playlist, but if I skip one song it will repeat songs I've already heard before going through all 191 songs.
   
   

In case it's helpful, I'll also note that one of the common reasons I skipped songs is because the playlist would randomly "hang up" and stop playing.  It would appear to be starting a new song and the timer at the bottom of the screen might look like it was moving, but the music would stop playing.  Even if I hit play/pause several times, it wouldn't play that song.  So I would hit skip to go to the next song, which seemed to fix the hang up, but then caused the experience I noted above where it would begin replaying songs I just recently heard, as if the shuffle mode was starting over from the beginning.  I did uninstall and reinstall the app to clear the cache and try to fix that problem last week and I haven't noticed it hanging yet.

Did it stopped on the same songs? If that was the case, can you tell me the name of the songs?

@MariaPandora no, I don't believe it was a specific set of songs that caused it to hang up.  At least I didn't notice a pattern.  Nonetheless, even if I skipped it for another reason, the same undesired behavior occurred, where it cause the shuffle to reset from the beginning and allow songs to repeat.

@MariaPandora It continues to cover songs more than once before completing the full playlist on shuffle.  Is there something you think will solve this or would you classify this as a defect?
