iOS: "There Was an Error Saving the Playlist"

tdsmith1187
Local Performer

On my iPhone 12, when I try to edit my thumbs up playlist and click done, I get a message that says, "There was an error saving the playlist." And the song hasn't deleted. I've tried closing and re-opening the app, but the songs are still there.

I've also tried deleting songs from my playlist on my desktop (a Mac laptop). I have some success in deleting songs, but there is a weird glitch happening where I get to a certain place on my playlist, and a few things happen all at once:

1) I no longer have the option to delete songs

2) Most songs are showing up as numerous duplicates

3) The scroll bar keeps changing (as if the playlist is multiplying in loading more and more songs, perhaps creating more duplicates as mentioned in #2)

Not sure if my devices are possessed, or if there's a way to clean this up. Thanks in advance.

Hey, @tdsmith1187. 👋

Thanks for reporting this issue. Let's focus on your iPhone device first.

Could you share a bit more about what is happening?

  • Have you tried uninstalling / reinstalling the Pandora app on your iPhone device?
  • Are you able to remove songs from any of your other playlists? Or, does this only happen with your My Thumbs Up playlist?

iOS Troubleshooting:

If you haven't already, I would recommend trying out these steps while I have a trace enabled on your account: iOS Troubleshooting

Would you mind providing more details about your device?

  • Device & Generation: iPhone 12
  • Carrier:
  • iOS version: (Settings > General > About > Version)
  • Pandora version: (Pandora > Profile tab > Settings gear & scroll to the bottom of the screen)
  • Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening?

Thanks for your help with this. Let me know how it goes. 🎧

Hi there - thanks for your reply. I didn't get an email alert that you responded, so I apologize for the delay.

I did uninstall/reinstall the app, and the issue persists. It appears to only be affecting My Thumbs Up playlist.

Good Morning, I am attempting to edit/ remove a song from my playlist using an iPhone 13. Every time I do so I receive an error message saying it can’t be saved. And it’s only 1 particular song. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue. I have also tried logging out and even deleting the app. Thanks
