@MOHLovesAlaska That book is the reason that The Stanly Hotel is still in business. The other day I was looking into Western History, and I ended up going down a rabbit trail into the history of famous landmarks near me. I was curious about the Stanly Hotel because I have driven past it many times and heard that it is famous for something. I learned that the emptiness of the hotel and other things inspired the author to create the book. I do not watch or read any horror stories, so I am definitely not interested in that book.
