I have a couple of questions that may help us determine what's happening.
Are you currently logged into your wife's Pandora account on your Android device?
Also, do you share a Google Play Store account with her?
Please try signing out and signing back in by visiting your Pandora Settings . Click Account then Sign Out . Then sign back in with the email address of the Pandora account you used when you upgraded.
