Great, thanks, @clduckworth! Let's start by checking on the battery optimization settings on your Samsung. You'll want to be sure there are no restrictions for the Pandora app. Sometimes these restrictions will kill the app in the background to conserve resources.  Open your device Settings and then Apps. Scroll to find Pandora or use Search in the upper right hand corner. Select Battery Next select Unrestricted.
