So, if I play Pandora on my Oppo BDP or my Yamaha AVR, it has no audio ads. I think those companies cut a deal. Roku did this too but, eventually, the ads came back on the old time Roku I had, then Roku killed the device. That was many years ago. It turns out the 12 year old Oppo (I got it used) plays Pandora the best. As in best sounding. So I use that in evenings in that room. It has to be at least AAC 256, it sounds that good. But, I also have a $50 gift certificate for Pandora paid/non refundable that I need to use up. (The person I gave it to did not want it because Pandora would make her stop paying them so she can then add it on. So dumb for no reason!) If I use this credit, will it “kill” my ad free Pandora when the $50 credit ends that I will just use for myself before it expires? I'd like to listen to Pandora in my office using that (after the free trial) this winter. Then I dunno what I will do. I like Pandora's brain but prefer Apple Music for UI, quality, Classical app, Atmos, etc. There was no Oppo label option so I chose Yamaha just so I could post this.
