My Dear fellow Listeners... Pandora is a MULTI BILLION (3.5) dollar company, They don't care about a few thousand out of the 46 million listeners... their profit is about $650 million (+ or - a few million) a year for the last 4 years. They are not going to (or even try to) FIX ios-18 CarPlay. We go on road trips and listen to music during the trip, so, it's kinda important to us. So, I had to find my own solution (can't wait for Pandora to FIX the issues) or switch to another service...  Yes, it was a task to downgrade and almost didn't work... I have a second iPhone 8+ on ios-16 and has most of the configuration settings and the downgrade process wants to restore from a Back-up and wants to upgrade to ios-18 during the process OR setup as a New iPhone (ios-17.7) and put all settings in manually... So, i picked the iPhone 8+ Back-up and the process stayed on ios-17.7... Added some missing Apps and a few things I had to tweak. ... View more

There is 200+ comments on this thread alone, there are around 3+ other threads complaining about Pandora having compatibility issues with ios-18 CarPlay...  Pandora has NOT put out a FIX. All subscriber efforts to FIX the compatibility issues themselves is a waste of time. All we can do is wait for Pandora to (maybe) FIX it.  ... View more

Today is November 1 2024... since ios-18 came out on September 16 2024 (7 weeks ago), Pandora has had CarPlay compatibility issues with it... There is NO FIX yet and Pandora hasn't announced when it will FIX it. Has anybody heard from Pandora about a FIX?  Do they even realize that there is CarPlay compatibility issues? To all Drivers... Don't mess with your Phones while driving... some states have Laws about driving and messing with your phone. You could get a ticket, or worse, cause an accident because you were distracted...  Pandora needs to FIX so we could all be Hands Free and Safe. ... View more

There are 4 iPhones in my family... all upgraded to ios-18 and all now have issues with CarPlay in all our cars... Down graded 3 iPhones to ios-17.7 (not an easy proce$$) and Pandora now works without issues on CarPlay...  Kept one iPhone on ios-18 to see when Pandora will FIX, its been over a month... I tried on 4 Hondas, 3 Nissans, 2 Jaguars, 1 Chevy, and a Partridge in a pear tree... same issues. I have the latest updates for Pandora and ios-18 on 3 different iPhones tested on same cars above... same issues. I have one iphone 12 mini ios-17.7 and tested on same cars above, NO issues.
