10/2024 Update: My Bluetooth headphones no longer have any control issues. I can start and stop playing normally. But My Ford Sync 3 system STILL will not discover the Pandora App. I can only play Pandora via the Bluetooth connection. Sigh....

For your reference this is Case #: 05089023. I recently received and email from Pandora Support stating, "Please update your Pandora app to version 2407.1.1, which contains this important fix." I uninstalled my previous version and reinstalled this new version. I have been using it in my car for about 10 days. So far, the sound hasn't thrown back to my phone when turning my car off and I appear to be able to 'Pause, Play, Skip' without problems. The phone app seems to restart playing when getting back into the car without the error msg. "Cannot Repeat This Track". However, now the Pandora app interface that used to show up on my Ford Sync 3 is undiscoverable. I can connect to my phone via Bluetooth and play Pandora, but even when trying to search for apps on my phone thru the Ford Sync system, it doesn't show up anymore. So there is still issues with this new 2407.1.1 version. I have yet to see if my Bluetooth headphones have any control issues. I hope to test this this weekend. I hope Support sees this msg. because you cannot reply to the email they sent me. Jim

I'm losing faith in Pandora. It is now May 2024 and this problem is STILL going on! Is anyone at Pandora actually working on this? I have tried clearing the cache, but no help. And the app has developed several other problems too: Sometimes I can't pause or skip a track. Sometimes when I turn off my car, it throws the sound back to my phone's speaker and the app must be closed in order to stop it. Pressing pause does not work. It does this with both our cars. Sometimes when using my Bluetooth Headphones, I cannot pause a track and I must closed the app to get it to stop. When first getting into my car hoping to resume Pandora, I get a message on my Ford Sync 3 display that says, "Cannot Repeat This Track" when I've done nothing but try to let it resume on its own. I have to close the app on my phone and reopen it to get it to work again.

Since I contacted the moderator, another Pandora support person and emailed Pandora support, the APP appears to be working without any delays as of yesterday. It appears that I alerted their Engineering team and they finally jumped on it. Anyone else having the same luck? I have yet to verify that it's still working today. And 'Thank you' Pandora Engineering team for finally getting this resolved.

This has been going on for way too long. Isn't anyone one from Pandora monitoring and responding to this problem or have they lost key tech support people that can actually fix this problem? They are going to lose subscribers because of this. They even haven't fixed the problem with their interface with my Ford Sync system that crashed every time you 'thumbs-Up' something. I have stopped using their APP altogether in my car and use BT only connected to my phone.

Adam, This problem needs to be escalated as its been going on for months! There hasn't been any word from Pandora acknowledging this and what they are doing about it. Please, escalate this and find a solution! Many users are threatening leaving Pandora.
Each command LAGS 3-8 seconds with all Fire TV's & Sticks. Only the Pandora APP. If I use the MIC on my remote to play Anything, Smooth Jazz, Classic Rock or any other station, it opens a different GUI that Plays without lags! But you can't access your save station thru that GUI.
Nope, Pandora still lags 3-8 Seconds with each command! Please re-open this trouble ticket! This has been going on for months! Many are threatening to leave Pandora. Pandora Tech Support needs to acknowledge this and let us know what is being done to fix it. Or maybe Pandora has lost key Tech Support people that can actually fix this? Please do something about this.

This has been going on now for about 2 months or so, maybe longer. Whenever I'm running the Pandora App on my Ford Sync 3, if I Thumb Up a song, it crashed/closes the App. It doesn't matter whether I Thumb Up on my Sync 3 system or directly on my phone. I can change to another of my Pandora Stations without issues, but doing a Thumbs Up or Down kills the App. I have restarted my phone, but that didn't help. I have NOT uninstalled and reinstalled the Pandora app on my phone yet. I have resorted to just connecting my phone via Bluetooth and not selecting the Pandora app to listen to my music. Please fix this as I like to Thumbs Up tracks that I like. Let me know if you need more info from me.

Some NEW information on this problem. My Firestick when using the Pandora APP on the home screen still severely lags, but the other day, I used the Alexa MIC Button on the Remote and asked to 'Play Classic Rock on Pandora'. It opened a very different looking GUI that doesn't show my stations. However, this GUI does NOT LAG! This GUI also mutes the picture (goes to black) if I don't interact or 'thumb up/down' a song. Not sure where this different GUI comes from, but this may be good info for Pandora to know. Hopefully, they will see this. I still want my regular Pandora APP to work again. It is extremely frustrating. This problem has been going on for months!

My Ford Sync 3 system always allowed me to press the Presets button (pancake menu) and it would bring up a list of my stations. Now I only get a beep from my radio and the Preset menu never appears. I don't often change stations while driving so I don't know when something may have changed or been updated in Pandora's interface to cause this problem. I am using a Bluetooth connection with an Android phone sync'd to my Ford system.

Yes, my Firestick started doing this recently. All other apps buttons respond immediately so its just a Pandora issue. I have tried clearing the cache, restarting and rebooting the Firestick. I thought Rebooting had solved it but with each button press, the delay creeps back in. This is VERY frustrating. There must have been a recent update to Pandora that screwed this up.

No errors on commercial breaks today while listening on my phone thru headphones and then later thru my Ford Sync3 system. I have yet to try my Roku. I'll be using that tomorrow morning. I'll let you know, but it appears you've solved the issue. Thanks for the quick work! Another reason I LOVE my Pandora!

Or does this issue mainly occur on your android device? - I do listen more on my android with headphones, but all 3 have the same troubles

Again, I have tried clearing the pandora data - no help.
Then after uninstalling pandora and reinstalling it, the very next car ride home it played without the error. I thought it was fixed, but then the next day, the 'unexpected error' returned after the first song and continues to occur everytime I launch pandora & play the very first song followed by an ad then the error happens. The app continues to play songs but without the artist and song title info and no pic image for the track. I still can 'thumb up or down 'and it will tell me which song I did that to, but if I want song title/artist info, I have to connect to my ford sync3 as my s21 phone instead od the pandora app.
Noticed yesterday that the error happens every time a commercial is played. Usually the very first break, but can reoccur on the next few commercial breaks. Pandora announces thru my ford sync3, " pandora has experienced and unknown error and can no longer play music at this time." yet it does continue to play, but without track title artist name and album picture. My android phone, when listening thru headphones, just displays a graphic saying that "An unknown error has occurred."

For the past several weeks I have been getting the same " pandora cannot play music at this time because it has experienced an unexpected error" after playing just one song on my Android phone or thru my Ford Sync3 and even on my Roku at home. It all started about the time Pandora said it was performing server maintenance. What's the status of correcting this? I have Verizon for my phone and WOW internet at home. I've Uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone, cleared the data but nothing has helped.
