Based on your description, any station request from that particular Google Home plays holiday Christmas music. Can you do me a favor, the next time this happens can you let me know the exact voice command that was used and the date and time (including timezone) that you tried. I can take a closer look and provide feedback to our engineering team. I would also recommend filing feedback with Google too.
